Wooden Animals: Hand Carved in Kenya, these animals are carved from a varietyof different woods.  Jacaranda, yellow wood are fast growing light weight utilitarian woods, Mahogancy and Olive Wood are hard woods with a fine grain, often simply sealed to show off the grain.  Ebony a very hard slow growing wood. It is a light tan in color but as if ages deposits are left behind in the wood and it turns a deep black. It is now a rare and protected wood.
